For the second time this year in Cluj, Norwegian jazz pianist Jan Gunnar Hoff comes to Jazz in the Park with his long-time collaborator Per Mathisen, responsible for upright and electric bass. Hoff and Mathisen have decided to join forces for the festival with a heavyweight drummer, Cuban Raciel Torres, also known as “Octopus” because of his extreme flexibility in playing.
Their music ranges from lyrical acoustic plains to explosive, alert jazz, always played with elegance, passion and a deep connection within the trio.
