Takuya Kuroda has been on our list for about 4-5 years. Born in Japan, Takuya followed in the footsteps of his older brother and ended up moving to New York to study jazz and contemporary music. Here, he met Jose James (headliner in 2021 at Jazz in the Park), but he has also collaborated with other artists like DJ Premier.
Takuya is one of those artists who identifies with both Jazz and Hip-Hop. A fantastic trumpeter, with 5 released albums and another one on the way (which we’ll discover at the concert), he will leave his mark on the history of music performed on the central alley of Central Park. We can’t wait!
