ShekBand is a young, vibrant jazz trio from Kyiv, blending contemporary jazz with Ukrainian folk and infectious energy. Siblings Anna (17, piano and harp), Artem (19, double bass), and Maksym (15, drums, flute, vocals) are already stars in their home country, having sold out Kyiv’s largest music hall in 2023. Just one day before the war began, they completed their debut album, The Inflatable Ram, later featured on Radio France’s “Open Jazz.” At Jazz in the Park Competition 2024, they won Best Composition and a Special Mention for Best Pianist.
