MINDTHEGAP is a trio from Transylvania, part of the new generation of contemporary Romanian jazz. Their sound is bold and cinematic, featuring a complex style reminiscent of film music, nu jazz, fusion, or progressive rock. The group formed out of a passion for music, evident in their authentic take on classical instruments blended with elements from electronic music, rock, and world music.
Iconic Album:
“Distant Signals” (2024) is an emblematic album, followed by a live version featuring the same tracks, “Motherland” performed at the Fortified Church in Biertan, Transylvania. These releases marked the electrifying debut of the MINDTHEGAP Trio on the contemporary jazz scene, establishing their cinematic sound.
