In 2016, we hosted our first concert with Dominic Miller at the Museum of Art, selling out in just one day. Then, in 2020, a new concert was planned, but the pandemic forced us to cancel. Somehow, things aligned the following year, and we managed to bring him to the festival in the Ethnographic Park. Hearing Shape of My Heart performed acoustically was truly magical!
Now, in 2025, he is embarking on a European tour, and we are thrilled to have included Cluj-Napoca on his itinerary. This is an amazing opportunity for live music lovers to see him perform once again on May 6, 2025, at the Hungarian Opera House.
The Vagabond Tour and the New Album
Dominic Miller is currently promoting his latest album, Vagabond, released under ECM Records. Recorded at La Buissonne studio in the south of France, the album blends jazz, pop, acoustic folk, contemporary classical music, and Latin influences. Without fitting into a single musical genre, Vagabond once again showcases Miller’s artistic versatility.
Joining him on stage:
- Dominic Miller – guitar
- Ziv Ravitz – drums
- Nicolas Fiszman – bass
- Jason Rebello – piano
With a career spanning over 30 years, Dominic Miller is not only Sting’s longtime guitarist but also a remarkable solo artist with 12 albums released under his own name. A two-time Grammy winner, his musical contributions include iconic compositions such as Shape of My Heart and La Belle Dame sans regrets.
Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, to an American father and an Irish mother, Miller studied guitar at Berklee College of Music in Boston and Guildhall School of Music in London. Since the late 1980s, he has become one of the most sought-after session guitarists, collaborating with artists such as Phil Collins, The Chieftains, Paul Simon, Eddi Reader, Katie Melua, Bryan Adams, Paul Young, Nigel Kennedy, Peter Gabriel, and Tina Turner.
