Where does the festival take place?
The festival takes place in “Romulus Vuia” Ethnographic Park in Cluj-Napoca, on Tăietura Turcului Street. It is an open-air museum, with traditional houses, green areas and hills.
Accessibility for people with disabilities
The Ethnographic Park is a space with stone alleys and sloped areas, which can make access difficult with strollers or wheelchairs. We offer free access to people with severe disabilities and their companions.
Can I buy tickets at the venue?
Yes, you can buy one-day tickets and passes directly at the park entrance, but prices will be higher than those available online. We recommend buying your ticket in advance.
Do children have free entry?
Yes! Children up to 12 years old included have free access, but they must be accompanied by an adult.
Can I come with my pet?
Of course! The festival is pet-friendly.
All we ask is:
- to keep your four-legged friend on a leash throughout your visit
- to clean up after them, if needed.
How do I get to the festival?
- By bicycle (we have a bike rack at the festival entrance) or by scooter.
- By taxi, you can get there from anywhere in Cluj in a maximum of 20 minutes.
- By bus, lines 37 and 38 bring you closest to the entrance, but you can also come from other neighborhoods with buses that drop you off 5-10 minutes away on foot. We recommend using Google Maps for the destination Parcul Etnografic Romulus Vuia.
Can I come by car?
Yes, but we do not recommend it.
If you still choose to come by car:
We have a dedicated parking area in the Tetarom complex, with approximately 500 spaces. You can use any parking space around Tetarom shown on Google Maps.
The side alley of the Ethnographic Park will be closed to traffic between June 5-7, and parking there will be prohibited. Therefore, residents of the following streets are asked to pick up their car access permits in order to be able to drive on Aleea Muzeului Etnografic: Uliului from no. 59 onwards, Ioan Neculce, Alexandru Donici, Ioan Iacob (upper side), Alexandru Davila, Grigore Ureche.
The permits can be picked up daily between 12:00-20:00 from the accreditation area in front of the Ethnographic Museum.
Where can I stay if I come from another city?
We do not have a camping area, but Cluj offers many accommodation options: hotels, serviced apartments, guesthouses or hostels. We recommend booking in advance.
I have a ticket to Jazz in the Park. How and where can I pick up my festival wristband?
Festival wristbands can only be picked up from the festival location and only during the festival schedule. Thus, on Friday from 14:00 to 24:00 and on Saturday from 12:00 to 24:00, you can pick up your wristband from the entrance to “Romulus Vuia” National Ethnographic Park, Tăietura Turcului Street, F.N., Cluj-Napoca.
How can I pay at the festival?
All areas of the festival accept card payments.
Also, cash payments are accepted, if you prefer.
What will the weather be like? What should I wear?
The festival takes place exclusively outdoors, so:
- Wear comfortable shoes
- Bring sunscreen, a hat and water
- Take a jacket or hoodie with you, as evenings can be cool
- Check the weather in the morning and, in case of rain, bring a raincoat or an umbrella.
What am I allowed to bring into the festival?
The following are allowed:
- backpacks / schoolbags
- prescription medication
- flags, selfie sticks
- up to 500 ml of water in a sealed bottle
- reusable bottles
- umbrellas (they cannot be opened in front of the stage)
- blankets, hammocks, folding chairs
- cosmetics, including SPF and deodorants
What am I NOT allowed to bring in?
The following are not allowed:
- drugs, alcohol, outside food
- weapons, pocket knives, sharp objects
- fireworks, explosives
- scooters, hoverboards, skateboards
- graffiti, stickers, promotional materials
- portable speakers
- professional photo/video cameras
- drones
Is smoking allowed at the festival?
Only in specially designated areas. Since the festival takes place in a heritage park, with wooden and straw houses, we ask you to respect this rule. Smoking areas are marked on the festival map, as well as on site.
What is the festival schedule?
- Friday: from 14:00
- Saturday and Sunday: from 12:00
The first 200 participants who enter the park each day receive a welcome glass!
What can I do at the festival?
Jazz in the Park is more than music: 2 large stages and 2 small stages, 30+ concerts, music workshops, a creators’ and vinyl fair, live cooking & coffee tasting, smart talks and jam sessions. Or you can simply relax on the grass and enjoy the scenery.
How can the Jazz in the Park volunteers help me?
If you need help or assistance during the festival, look for a Jazz in the Park volunteer or go to the Info Point, in the Shop area. Volunteers can help you with useful information about the activities, give you directions to where you want to go, or assist you if needed.
