Conversations about adaptation, change, and the courage to move forward
Jazz in the Park is a daytime festival – calm, unhurried. That’s why every courtyard in the Ethnographic Park has its own role. The discussion courtyard, known as Întâlniri pe prispă (Porch Talks), is where we invite you to listen to people we admire – and we hope you’ll want to get to know them too. These are smart, lively conversations with people who truly have something to say.
This year’s theme: Adaptation / Reinvention in a world that constantly changes. Our guests will speak about reconfigured paths, tough choices, values that endure, and the compromises they would never make. About staying grounded in a chaotic present, and how they protect their mind, identity, and balance.
Moderated by two distinct cultural voices – Diana Popescu and Horia Ghibuțiu – the program brings together journalists, artists, radio hosts, cultural leaders, and inspiring individuals with stories worth sharing.
Diana Popescu is a cultural journalist with a long and diverse media career. She has worked for Adevărul, Gândul, produced DIGICULT for Digi24, and since 2020, she hosts the podcast Cronicari Digitali. She’s also published a children’s book and is passionate about architecture, modern art, and gastronomy.
Horia Ghibuțiu is an independent journalist with over 35 years of experience in print and audiovisual media. He has led major newsrooms, interviewed remarkable personalities, and is now an important voice in the Romanian cultural landscape.
