Razvan Florescu Quartet brings to the forefront modern jazz in a classic formation, with influences from classical and ethno music.

The pieces within “Sketches” are individual compositions that do not share a common narrative thread, crossing a variety of stylistic genres. Although they have collaborated in various projects until now (Luiza Zan Quintet, RVQ, Tumbe, etc.), Andrei Petrache (piano), Mike Alex (double bass), Philip Goron (drums), and Razvan Florescu (vibraphone) come together for the first time in a quartet formation.
